Shizuoka Speaks

From 2009 to 2011, while teaching English in Japan through the JET Program, I founded and produced the podcast series Shizuoka Speaks, about local and international students in the city where I lived (Shizuoka City) grappling with identity and searching for community. Immigration, education, racism, and biculturalism were among the topics the episodes addressed. You can go through the entire project here. It was funded thanks to a grant from the Suruga International Research Institute in Shizuoka, Japan.
